KIVILA ROCK CATCHMENT PROJECT. Done by SWECF

It is a rainwater catchment area developed from a rock outcrop to catch and concentrate runoff into a storage structure for later use. Stone gutters are made to collect the runoff from the rock catchment area, and direct the rainwater into a storage structure.

Harvesting water from rock outcrops increase water supply for people, livestock and drinking water. When water is used for irrigation purposes, the agricultural production is increased due to the increased water availability.lets support swecf in fighting climate change, water scarcity by building many water structures 💦💦🌱🇰🇪

You can stand with us by donating the programs, Building Water Projects or The school garden project ( planting trees program) to the local communities in kenya living in semi arids lands.
